Our KODA range of rack readers is designed to cover just about every workflow in modern laboratories. Whether you’re scanning frozen samples straight from cold storage, automating with robots, or just looking for a fast and accurate desktop scanner, we’ve got a model to match.

KODA Sense

Designed for everyday lab use, the KODA Sense delivers fast, reliable scanning for all SBS-format racks. Automatic rack detection triggers the scan as soon as a rack is placed on the window. Orientation correction detects if a rack is upside down and automatically adjusts the output, ensuring accurate results every time.

KODA Cryo

Purpose-built for frozen labware, the Cryo features a patent-pending, open design that prevents condensation and ensures clear imaging, even straight out of cold storage. It reliably reads both cryoboxes and SBS-format racks.

KODA Slim

Compact and automation-ready, the Slim shares the Cryo’s patent-pending condensation-free design in an SBS-compatible footprint. It’s ideal for robotic arms, automated workflows, or labs with limited bench space. It can also scan racks held slightly above the surface so robotic systems don’t need to fully place the rack onto the scanner.

KODA Solo

Purpose-built for reading single tubes, the KODA Solo is a compact, plug-and-play device that requires no software or installation. It’s a cost-effective solution that reads 2D Data Matrix, 1D barcodes, and QR codes, making it ideal for quick, flexible tube identification.

All KODA rack readers are licence-free, meaning they can be moved between computers at any time without hassle. Each reader includes our KODA Capture software, which offers live scan feedback and multiple viewing modes to make verifying reads simple. All models are fully compatible with known LIMS systems.

All of our products are designed, built, and tested at our UK facility, giving us complete control over quality and performance. Our in-house team works closely with partners and labs to continually improve both hardware and software based on real-world feedback.
