Immuno-oncology is one of the most dynamic fields of research in biomedical science. Success stories like CAR-T cell therapy are encouraging and serve as motivation for intensive research and its translation into the clinic and market.
The Leipzig Immune ONcology (LION) Conference has become a platform for intensive exchange between representatives from research, clinics, and industries who are involved in the development of immunotherapies to fight cancer.
The annual meeting is hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology and the University Hospital Leipzig under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Ulrike Köhl, Prof. Dr. Florian Lordick, and Prof. Dr. Uwe Platzbecker.
It will feature presentations and discussions of concepts and trials that are under preclinical and clinical development and have great potential for addressing existing medical needs, such as AAV technology and NK cell-based therapies. Furthermore, it will look at clinical experiences from ongoing/completed clinical trials and routine applications, for example of CAR-T cell-based therapies.
Main Topics:
- Immunotherapy for Hematological Diseases
- Immunotherapy for Solid Cancer
- NK Cell based Immunotherapy
- AAV based Technologies for Immunotherapy
- Genome Editing and Gene Therapy
The 2024 LION Conference will take place on November 12-13 in Leipzig, Germany. The number of participants is limited to 150, giving the event a both exclusive and familial character and enabling close exchange among participants. In 2024, poster prizes with a value of up to €1,000 will be awarded for the first time. Don’t miss the opportunity to present your research and submit an abstract today.
