Since then, a number of therapies have received Food and Drug Administration clearance or approval and are commercially available, demonstrating successful results. Meanwhile, a comprehensive list of therapeutic strategies in preclinical and clinical investigation stages is continuously being expanded and explored in many regions around the world. Cecilia Van Cauwenberghe from Frost and Sullivan suggests that overall, most strategies are related to mimicking organ and tissue structures via scaffold fabrication, three-dimensional bioprinting, and self-assembly.
