Significant progress has been made in the AIDS response since 1988, however ensuring a swift and accurate diagnosis accessible to everyone is still a significant barrier which needs to be tackled in our battle to combat the disease. David Fraser at BBI Solutions identifies how AIDS diagnostics can be improved. He concludes that enabling mass access to swift, accurate, presymptomatic diagnosis requires collaboration and a deep-seated commitment to removing the stigma around HIV and AIDS.
